Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Install My Own Electric Cooker?

You should NOT try to install your electric cooker on your own, unless you're a certified electrician. Your electric cooker is a large appliance that you’re going to use just about every day for several years. By attempting to install it yourself, you risk getting shocked or severely injured. An incorrect installation can also mean you’ve created a fire hazard.

Do I Have To Prepare Anything Before The Electric Cooker Installation?

There  are a couple of  things  you can do before  we arrive to ensure the  Electric Hob, Oven or Cooker installation. Try to move furniture out of the way to make sure there's plenty of room in your kitchen so we won't have any problem getting your Old Electric Cooker out of the way. Extra bit of cleaning might require around and behind the new cooker like oil or food residue. We require a cooker, hob or oven isolator switch and proper functioning outlet before we carry out any connection.

How Long Does It Take The Cooker Installation?

Normally, it takes an hour or less, however in some cases there is not enough space around or the induction built-hob requires re-seal around and the Electric Oven built-in a cabinet at a certain height which makes it difficult to remove or slow down the process.

What If I Need A New Electric Cooker Circuit?

In case you need a new Electric Hob, Oven or Cooker Circuit we are able to carry out and certify all of our Domestic Part P Electrical Building Works. We are NAPIT insured which help give you insurance that our work is not just compliant but guaranteed.
The new cooker circuit requires it to run between the consumer unit and the desired location of the new electric appliance. It is a building work and requires chasing walls and retiling or redesign your kitchen if necessary.
