We are Registered and Qualified EV Charging Point Installers and provide Certification, Warranty with excellent customer service. We recommend the minimum 7-7.5 kW Charges Point for Residential and 22kW EV Chargers for Commercial or Public premises.
We are Registered OZEV Installers and you can claim the Government Grant Scheme for Commercial and Domestic Customers by reducing 75% of each Electric Car Charger fitting cost at £350/each. You can check your eligibility criteria here.

Absolutely, if you have an Electric Car Charger without any certification may invalidate your home insurance and if reported it may be removed. It is important to Install your EV Charger by a Certified and Registered Professional Electrician. Electric Vehicle Charger Manufacturers also invalidate their Warranty if not an Approved Competent Person installed it.

Building Regulations Compliance Certificate - (Your Local Authority Certificate)
Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) - NAPIT Registered Competent Person Scheme Approved
DNO (Distribution Network Operator) Notification Letter - National Grid must be notified of your EV Charger Installation

Cavendish Electricals & Services Limited is Certified by the UK Government "OZEV Approved Electric Charging Point Installer". You can use The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) for all our Installations. The WCS is a voucher-based scheme that provides eligible businesses with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) charge points. All businesses can use it to help provision chargers for their staff or fleets. OZEV Grant is £350/Charge Point the Installer uses the voucher after installation which comes off the Final Installation Cost.

Cavendish Electricals & Services recommends Type 2 Tethered (Charging Cable Permanently Attached to the Charge Point Device) EV Chargers for Residential customers and Untethered for Commercial - Public premises.

The Electric Car Chargers cost vary in between £520 - 750 + Installation. The EV Charger Installation Cost depends from the followings:
EV Charge Point Location - Distance between the EV Charger and the Consumer Unit
How old is your Fusebox
If your Fusebox is Metal Clad and not Plastic the cost is much less but you must have a spare slot for the EV Charger switch (RCBO) in your Consumer Unit
If your Consumer Unit is too old and the replacement is costly we install a secondary IP Rated Fuse Board outside and a Metal Clad Fuse Box inside a new Meter Box which we also have to install.
